Also, I convinced our principle to start providing recycling at our school. I think this is an important accomplishment... It didn't take a whole lot of work but it took initiative and courage. Should i include it in my app? If so, where?

It certainly seems like you have the credentials for a Deans Honor scholarship - but they require a special project in addition to the regular application. You can certainly mention your green initiative (but make sure you spell principal correctly) :)

Do something in the project that speaks to what you can bring to the school -- beyond good academics.

Um, don't retake your SAT you're gonna get the deans haha. you're amazing whoever you are!

thx... i dunno why but that made me feel really good. seems like most people are somewhat critical on here (not that that's always a bad thing)

I mean i don't work in the fin. aid office, but I'm pretty sure you'll definitely get a wonderful scholarship! I mean, I don't usually disclose personal info, but I got an 1860 on the sat, and like a 3.75 UW gpa. and got 16k a year. that sould give you some background haha.

I just got my letter in the mail for the Presidential Scholarship or something (24k/year). Have you gotten info on that yet? Also, I went to an info session in Cleveland yesterday and she said that the average SAT for the Dean's is 2200 and your right around there and with your GPA and other stuff I think you should undoubtedly get it.

My states for the Presidential Scholarship (2080/3.82 Weighted). Therefore, I'm assuming you got the same thing as I did. I too am going to apply for the Dean's Honor Scholarship.
