Chances for Gallatin?

My GPA went from a 3.0 freshman year, to a 3.7 sophomore year, and now its a 4.4. In addition, I take a lot of classes at a community college near by, concurrent with my high school classes, because I am graduating early senior year so that I can travel to Europe. I also have a part time job and take AP classes. (AP Art, Human Geo, Environmental Science, Honors Spanish, next year: AP Art, Gov, and more college classes at community college)
I'm VP of a club at my school and am active in 2 others. I have volunteered at a nursing home since I was in 8th grade and I have had additional volunteering experiences since then. The first time I took the ACT I got a 29 (after I took it I thought I failed) and I am planning on getting at least a 31. So what do you think the chances are for getting into NYU Gallatin?

I understand that it’s a holistic admissions process, but just out of your basic knowledge of NYU. Anyone?

nyu doesnt look at weighed GPA and unweighed GPA entrance is around a 90~
i think 29 act is a bit on the low side? but still in range…someone correct me on that 31 is good. What is your unweighed GPA out of 4?

If things go as planned, which they will most likely, it will be 3.85.

I’m not sure you are calculating correctly.

Unweighted GPA’s do not go over 4, and with your initial post saying you have a 3.0 a 3.7 and a 4.4 (this is weighed… it is over 4) only equates to a 3.7~ by the end of junior year. It is also factoring in that 4.4 which is WEIGHED. So unless i am doing something horribly wrong, you might want to double check on that 3.85 GPA.

No your right, I got it mixed up. 3.56 by end of first semester senior year.

Well assuming everything else you have not mentioned is average~ and with a 29 ACT. I would say that you are a tad lower than the 50th~ percentile of applicants. You have a decent shot at getting in, somewhere around a high match/low reach imo. 31 act would most likely match. This is mostly due to GPA, however if you are top 10% of graduating class you should be able to get in.

I like to think of schools that you are within the 50th~ either a high match or low reach
