*GPA: 87ish (unweighted, and unreported by my school)
*National Merit Society (commended)
*New England resident (suburban, very high income neighborhood but low income parents...gotta love that recession.)
*Private All-girls international boarding school (great relationship with the university)
*extended family at the university
*demonstrated interest: i.e. campus visit, communication with regional rep (he said he put a note of support in my file..?)
*Applied EDII (materials submitted two or three weeks prior to the deadline)
*Good teacher recs: physics teacher/family friend (with PhD) and History teacher of two years
*Decent ECs: three season athlete, pianist, camp counselor, volunteer at an animal hospital...and I wrote a novel.
*only one AP...Studio Art. (on a related note I was awarded a silver medal in a national competition in painting)
*language: two years of latin, two of french. BOTH, however, were taken prior to high school. I have a language waiver due to a learning disorder.</p>

All of your SAT scores are well within/even above the admitted range.
Assuming there’s no glaring issues on your application, I’d say you’re in!</p>

<p>Quite good chance for GWU. (Only 1 AP, and that not a core academic course, is kinda strange though, why?) Nevertheless, you seem like a good fit for it. I’m assuming 87 GPA translates to like a 3.5. Your SAT scores are good, how come you didn’t take more APs?</p>
