chances for Georgetown?

I’m only a sophomore, but I’m super anxious about college and I probably spend too much time on this site. If anyone wants to tell me my chances for Georgetown or possibly any Ivies, that would be much appreciated.

GPA (unweighted): 3.95
I haven’t taken the ACT, SAT, or PSAT, but I took the Aspire test which is like a practice ACT and it said my predicted ACT score is 31-33, but I’m hoping to do better. I don’t plan on taking the SAT (bad idea?), but I do plan on taking a few subject tests.
I’m taking honors English, Algebra II/Trig, Western Civilization, and regular Chemistry (no honors option). My electives are choir and Latin II.
Algebra II/Trig is already one grade ahead in math, but I’m studying pre-calc on Khan Academy so I can skip pre-calc and take AP Calc AB next year.
I have all my classes planned out for junior and senior year, so by the time I graduate I’ll have 5 AP classes.

ECs (this is what I’m most worried about):
Forensics (oratory, starting this year and I plan to do it until senior year, so 3 years)
JV cross country since freshman year, and I’ll get a varsity letter senior year for being on the team for all four years
Voice lessons 5 years (as of this year, it’ll be 7 when I’m a senior)
Piano lessons 7 years (as of this year, it’ll be 9 when I’m a senior)
Local youth choir 2 1/2 years (as of this year, it’ll be 4 1/2 when I’m a senior)
Volunteering at hospital- starting this month, a few hours every weekend
School musical this spring, and I plan to do it junior and senior year as well
Hopefully I’ll get into NHS!!
Once I have the time, I plan on getting a job at a local cafe
I’d like to have a job/internship at a state legislator’s office, which I haven’t looked into much but it’s a possibility
I’m also going to be tutoring two of my friends in math, and I may sign up to do some official peer tutoring at my school
In junior year and senior year I’ll probably be taking an additional course at UW Madison (where I live), most likely courses about International Relations or Criminal Justice.

Summer:
Last summer I did the UW Summer Music Clinic as well as two musical theater camps.
This summer I plan on doing the music clinic again, but I also plan on being a counselor at a youth summer camp for 4-5 weeks

So there you have it. Please let me know what you think! Thanks.

focus on living life. do what you want to do, and i guarantee you will get into the school of your choice.

take the SAT and see how you do. Since it was just changed I feel colleges “prefer” that over the ACT because it’s the same format/type of questions and you can study easily for it

In terms of ECs, do what you feel led to do. Don’t take up an activity just to fill in a blank space on an app form. I think colleges would probably rather see passion and commitment with 2-4 clubs/teams than 15-30 minutes per week spent on 8-10. And do not forget to have some fun!

Also, you likely already know this, but you have to take three SAT II subject tests and submit them as part of your Georgetown application. Georgetown seems to care that its applicants are willing to put in the work to be considered for admission and, in so doing, they likely do a pretty good job of weeding out those just looking for another elite private school at which to toss an app in case they don’t get into HYP.

Also be aware that if Georgetown is your #1 choice, while Georgetown defers a lot of ED applicants – so you do probably get a shot in the RD round if you don’t get in ED – Georgetown is one of the few schools at which ED does not appear to give much of an advantage, if any. Many schools show an ED acceptance rate of at least double the RD rate, and no, most of those admits aren’t athletes; Georgetown is not one of them. Whether (and how) you use that information is up to you.

Georgetown is a very fine school but it’s hard to get into. Make sure you read up on other schools and, judging them according to what you’re looking for and affordability, pick a few more. Be sure to include at least one safety. You have one near-safety (low match for you, since you’re in-state) of extremely high quality in your back yard. (the last five letters of my handle are a hint.)

Listen to @hhjjlala. The kids who get into top schools focus on what they love to do and enjoy high school. If you do that, the resume will build itself.
