So i like the biomedical and mechanical engineering at the three universities above. My problem seems to be that at the end of junior year i will have a 3.5 (if i push it) gpa unweighted and im not sure how they weight academy classes but my weighted gpa goes from
3.7-4. Now for science i did get a c in academy biology and a c in academy chemistry. But i had an A before the c in biology and i managed to get a B for 1 semester sophmore year in Ap Bio and an A second semester for Ap Bio. In Academy chem I improved to an A. As for math I had an A in college algebra for second semester freshman year but it went to a B for second semester. As for Geometry sophmore year i had a b 1st semester but got it to an A second semester. Next year i will be taking Academy Trig, Ap Chem, Ap U.S, Ap Stats, French 3, Academy Physics, and Ap eng (lit or something). Take note that academy is definitely harder than honors but depending on the class im not sure if it is harder than Ap (but most academy classes are Ap). I have done tkd for 3 years at the end of junior year and 2 years ending with junior year but still doing senior year science olympiad and Robotics team. Im planning on doing some volunteering over the summer instead of NHS. Will i get into these universities if i get like a 33 on the Act and like a 2000+ on the sats? Also do ap exams come into a factor? Because english is horrible. Also i did get a B in health (unbelievable......stupid last minute error) and i got 2 B's in french (one from fresh and other soph. So im not sure but if these universities aren't up my ally but f they aren't then what are some good back ups? I live in Il and i want to make it manage ably costing and a really good engineering university that isnt like in the top 40's in the nation. Not trying to be picky but if i had to go undergrad or transfer after two years i want a university that will prepare for those other universities. I do plan on transferring if i end up not going.
