I am currently a sophmore. I did the math and if i achieve my goal my cumulative gpa will be a 3.7-3.8 gpa weighted but i know some colleges unweight it so it counts as a 3.4 gpa. Combined I will have a lot of Ap classes dealing with science (Bio, Chem) that I have gotten A's in. I am in the Gifted Program in Illinois and all my classes besides gym and french are Academy classes. The above cumultative gpa is for freshman-junior year and my senior year will consist of Ap calc 1, Ap physics, Ap Econ, Ap English 12(dont know the name), AP Comp sci, French 4, and one more undecided but probably Ap class depending on scheduling. I am currently in taekwondo and The local Robotics team. I am also in science olympiad. I joined Olympiad and Robotics during sophmore year and i joined tkd about 8th grade summer. Im not sure if I'll make NHS and if i'll have time to fit that in since robotics can occur over the weekend which would conflict with NHS. I will start looking for volunteer jobs that involve medical/mechanical type of things. If I did really high on the ACT's (like a 33-34) and a pretty high SAT score (2000+), combined with all my accomplished things including academy which above honors where i am and ap classes along with the extracurriculars, could i have a safe chance for the above schools for Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering? Even with a lower Gpa?

UIUC: Match (at 3.4/33)
NWU: Reach
UWI: Match/low match (at 3.4/33)

how is U of i below madison? its like ranked at 7th in the nation for mechanical

You seem to treat a low match as a near-reach while it is a near-safety…

Well then what do you suggest?

Your best bet is UWI among these three.

sorry if i came off as rude i was just a bit worried. do you have any good engineering safety schools i can go to? like if i dont get in to all 3
