Chances for Gold National Scholarship?

First and foremost, if youve gotten this scholarship which covers either half or all of the diffrence between in-state and out of state tuition, what were your stats??

Im an OOS student in Arizona and Im wondering what chances I have for getting the university wide, "Gold National Scholarship." It says that recipients should have "Academic performance, high academic potential, outstanding leadership, creativity, community involvement, and contribution to diversity." I have a 4.3 weighted GPA, 1980 SAT, have participated in the most difficult course load at my school including 8 AP's and 8 Honors. I've participated in 9 clubs at 2 years each, 2 of which I created myself and am the president of. I also have leadership in another 2. I have also logged over 250 community service hours at my local VA Hospital helping out with patient care. Im also Indian (Asian).

InderG…What is your class rank? D1 was awarded the Gold National last year, and at that time it was listed as top 5% for the Gold and top 10% for the Maroon although I don’t know if they held strictly to those criteria. The current listing on the website still lists top 10% rank, so I’d guess that’s still a good place to start. The higher your class rank, the better chance of getting the Gold National.

I’m definitely in the top 10% but maybe like 8% at the most, I’m at a pretty competitive high school where like 25% of the kids are honors students. My un-weighted GPA is 3.7 if that means anything
