I think that you have a good chance at many of these schools. If you want to add another safety/match that is a good engineering school you might want to add U of Michigan to your list.

Thanks. Should i attach a resume to my application for any of these schools?

Your top schools are all upper “reach” schools for all but the very top students. Not to mention the big anti-hook you’ve got. Stanford/MIT/CalTech are all very low probability of between 5-10% admission. EA/ED at any one of these might double your chances.

Expand your list to include other schools such as Cornell, Penn, Columbia, Michigan, Northwestern and Rice. No doubt you will get into one or more of these.

Lastly, stay focused. Narrow down the activities list, and do a couple to the hilt.

Is the big-anti hook you’re referring to my ethnicity? I thought my activities were pretty focused. Also, I thought that applying EA doesn’t really help much. Thanks for the list of colleges!

Michigan, Rice, Northwestern, Cornell.

Thanks for the list (secret BUMP)

You have a great chance at all your schools. Your main goal now should be focusing on putting your pasison on paper: they need to know that you want this, deserve this, and how you can contribute to their community. Make your essays gold and you should be good.

You are in at UTD, Georgia Tech, and UT

As for CalTech, Stanford, and MIT your chances are low (like everyone else’s) since nothing from your app screams “zomfg i’m legit”-- which doesnt mean you arent intelligent you very well are, but on the whole these schools attract extremely unique individuals. I had 6 pals who applied to MIT/Stanford with better numbers and more impressive EC’s than you, yet they were all denied or waitlisted. The kids saying you have a great shot…don’t fool yourself.

Oh also, being indian is a major anti-hook too.

You’re a good applicant. make sure to write a killer essay, and also add other schools like carnegie mellon, michigan, cornell, JHU washu or duke (for BME if thats what you want)…

i agree with nuclear in that if you apply to MIT EA along with the award thing you got from them you should get in with a 34(dont know why anyone would retake a pro score) andUof Illinois and Purdue are great engineering schools that you could definitely get into so is carnegie mellon and USC
I think you have a pretty good chance at all of those and definitely in for the bottom 3
the first 3 are reaches for everyone including god and buddha and allah but you should get into at least one of them if not more

GOOD LUCK GENIUS!!!

chance me back at http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/735932-chance-me-i-will-chance-back.html

alright… add on to the awards section:

International First Step to Nobel Prize in Physics Honorable Mention

wow you are definitely on track with all ur research related stuff… maybe try U of Illinois Urbana?

alright… add on to the awards section:

International First Step to Nobel Prize in Physics Honorable Mention

MIT reach

You’re in good shape for all your schools. Good luck.

But 92jjxx is pretty much spot on. MIT, Caltech, and Stanford are reaches for anyone. You should easily get accepted to GT, UT, and UTD.

OP,

If you want a program with hands-on experience and engineering design early, take a look at Northwestern.
