THANKS! <333

Oh, and I've done a decent amount of research projects, including additional research just this past summer in bio.

Suffolk University in Boston would be a good choice as a safety.

You have a shot at the lottery.

that doesn't help.

Can you tell me where my weaknesses are?

everything looks great, the only thing is what is your weighted GPA

Your chances are as good as everyone else's...and you can't really do much more, volunteer more...

4.39... about a third of my classes were AP, the rest were all gifted or honors (except PE). =D

Look, we saw great kids with 1600s rejected last year. We saw good quality legacies rejected last year. You have a great shot, but you absolutely need some safeties where you can be happy.

Oh, I do have safeties... I just wanted to know my chances at my top two schools... if you all don't mind..

this is what i think.

Harvard: crapshoot by default
MIT: crapshoot by default
BU: safety

btw. i love boston.

omigosh, really? yeahhh... boston/cambridge is the only place that I've gone that's just felt right for me. thanks for your feedback. :)

yeah BU is a safety. The others are reaches by default. Other schools in/near boston would be...

Tufts: match
Boston College: match
Babson: safety

One last thing: make sure you apply for BU's full tuition program. You would have a great shot at it.

Hmmm... I know Harvard and MIT are reaches/crapshoots just because they're the schools that they are, but what kind of chance do you think I have at them? Thanks.

Within the crapshoot umbrella designation, I think you have a decent chance at MIT and a fair chance at Harvard.

A couple more schools near Boston:
Brandeis - Match
Northeastern - Safety

By the way, I love Boston, too. And NYC and DC. But that's all, I promise.

Oh yeah! New York is great. :) How're chances for Columbia (which I've never visited, but I've heard great things about)... for a bio/medicine major?

What state are you from? Socio-economic background? There are a lot of factors that could have an effect.

Chinese female, from Mississippi, average middle-class income family.

I'd also look at Bentley if you want to study business. It's in Waltham, MA and with your resume and numbers you would probably get a top merit scholarship in addition to being placed in their honors program. It's great for finance & accounting. I was set on going there until I changed majors from finance to management and decided Penn State was the better school given the switch.

Miss. helps you some, asian does not. Middle class isn't a plus either. I'd still say you have a good shot, but not a lock. Wellesley would be a good match with your scores, maybe even a safety.
