Chances for Honors College/Scholarship?

SAT: 1470/1600
GPA: 3.85UW/4.3W

Homeschooled, most of my classes taken at the community college.

Maryland Resident.

White Male.

Decent EC's (Head of robotics club 3+ years, 4+ years of robotics, placed 3rd regionally and 10th internationally in robotics competitions, racquetball club for 3 years, Russian Language club+speaker, presented my robot at the MAKE Magazine Faire in NYC, waaaay more normal/socially adjusted than most of the homeschoolers I know, etc.)

How do I stand in regards to admittance to the Honors College or Living and Learning community? Any chance for a merit scholarship?

Thanks.

You do have a chance of getting in, however, honors does not give out much money in scholarships. They also only give out out a very limited number of scholarships. Your best bet is receiving some academic scholarships from the university.

You look like you’re somewhat easily in the honors college to me

“easily in the honors college”

No such thing. There are no magic numbers or thresholds. Just as likely to be invited to scholars.

Good chance for some merit money, but again no set criteria.

Most important thing you need to do in order to be considered for special programs and merit awards is to apply by Nov. 1st priority deadline.

Best of luck.
