You have very good extracurriculars and challenging courses, but you need to work on your ACT score (and I recommend taking the SAT also) and your class rank is a bit low. Most applicants are first or second of their class. Good luck!

Honestly, being first or being the ninth in a class of thousand people doesn’t even matter. Especially if you have a solid unweighted 4.0 GPA. But you can definitely improve on your ACT; you don’t really need to at all, but why not? You know you’re capable of doing better.

Everything looks really good. Obviously there will be candidates with higher class rank or ACT scores or whatever, but yours are well within the range accepted at all of these schools. I think your leadership roles and ECs as well as your internships will look very good to the colleges you are applying too. Good essays and recommendations, perhaps in addition to the teacher ones, one from one of your internships, will really help your application. All in all I’d say you have a competitive chance at any of these schools. I wish you the best of luck!

You cannot major in pre-med… and HYP are a reach for anyone, worth a shot though. You might have a slightly better chance for Columbia, but it’s not all too much.
Yeah, you want to chose a major, and then you do pre-med along with that major.

Weak chances at HYP. You have the stats to get into many top 20 Universities but there is no compelling reason, in my opinion, for HYP to take you. If you want a better chance, you will need some awards for your academics (USABO or something) or for your research (Intel or Siemens). Also, try to get your ACT up. If you can’t make any of the previous awards, you should expand your EC base to seem more well rounded.

I say you’ve got more of a chance than some. Just make sure your essays stand out and you’ll have a greater chance. I applied to Harvard and my rank is wayyyy lower (i’m a bit lazy at times when it comes to schoolwork :P), my ACT is one point higher, and I do loads of community service. They gave me and interview. It went well. I’m excited! Good luck to you!

If you really want to have a “good” chance at getting in you need a wow-factor mate.

Low chances at all of them, unless your parents are alumni who have made huge donations or something. I’d be surprised if you were accepted to any.

^ Yes it does, but EVERYBODY has done that at HYPSM!!! YOU NEED TO STAND OUT FROM THEM!!! Therefore, from reading your chance thread I don’t see you being admitted.

Yeah I have the same problem with the average extracurriculars, but I have pretty high ACT/SAT scores to back me up. So im not sure what my chances are either
The best thing you can do is right a killer essay (make it really unique and stand out)
