Self-studying
---- My school doesn't offer AP Physics C, so I'm studying that by myself using MITOpenCourseWare to learn and take the two tests. I got a 5 on Physics B and am one of the best Physics kids in my county.
---- I'm also self-studying for two more AP tests for a total of 4 self-studied AP tests. I have 7 AP tests already from my school courses. Despite everything I have, I'm still managing very well in school, in all these APs, and in all my extracurriculars.
---- 7 hours a week, 32 weeks.
---- It also may sound geeky, but I study advanced Mathematics and theoretical physics on my true spare time (usually during the summer and holiday breaks). I've covered a lot of the MITOpenCourseWare lectures for Math.

About 310 hours of Community Service
AP Scholar with Distinction

10th place - Chemistry ACS Exam 2008

Midyear Report:

And I self-studied both Physics C exams as well as Microeconomics, totaling to 9 APs this semester. Hopefully this makes up for the horrible B+ I got and then some.

Teacher and Counselor Recs: Phenomenal (one of the best students ever for my teachers apparently).

It would be the most amazing honor in my life to get into just one of these top schools. Thanks guys!!!

Harvard, MIT, Princeton, Stanford, Caltech, Yale

edit: if it makes a difference, I got Regent's scholarship for UC Berkeley.
** I will chance back if you provide me a link!**

Although 700+ on CR is always preferable, you have solid chances everywhere.

agreed, this is exceptional (how do you have so much time?!?)

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/yale-university/865530-chances.html</a></p>

You have a good shot at Stanford, however, the others seem to be more demanding.
Yale & Harvard = Low reach
Princeton = Mid-reach
MIT & Caltech = High Reach

You should boost up your SAT, and if you’re focused on MIT and & Caltech you should do some Scientific research, or even take Olympiads. I don’t know how much time you have until you graduate, but you could do some research in a particular field of interest and compete in local science fairs. Who knows, you could go pretty far, that’s including ISEF and Siemens. As for olympiads, you could take AMC, USABO, USAPhO, USNCO …

Good luck.

HYPMSC-Reach

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/859569-chance-virginia-tech-georgia-tech.html</a></p>

as of right now reach for all try to get that CR to 700+ and the overall score to 2300+

chance me

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/865465-chances-ed-2010-i-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

quote

You’d be amazed at how much each person can do when they stop playing games, watching TV, or watching movies. If you literally count the hours spent on a day and do the math, you’ll be stunned at what else you could’ve done. Provided, I’m not saying NEVER do those things, but make a schedule and reduce time-wasting activities.
But yeah, that SAT score is pretty bad… I should have taken it again. I’m currently studying for the AMC12, which is actually pretty fun, but I doubt the score will make a difference in time for the decisions.

Reach at all b/c of average ECs (most music, which lots of people have)
