Chances for Ivy League admission

<p>Chances for Dartmouth Early Decision
Hey guys what would be my chances for applying Early Decision to Dartmouth?</p>

<p>School: Private, very challenging
Courses: Most difficult (Maximum number of APs and Honors Classes)
GPA: 101 Weighted (97% Unweighted)
ACT: 32 (going to retake for a 33-34)
SAT IIs: 800 US History, 750 Chemistry, and planning on taking MATH II in the Fall for probably 780-800</p>

<p>Rec Letters: I know and like these teachers very much and are confident that they will write Very Strong letters</p>

<p>APs-
Soph: Art History (5),
Junior: Chemistry, United States History, Lit/Comp
Senior: Lang/Comp, Euro, and Calc BC </p>

<p>Co-Curriculars- Boy Scout, Proposed founder of DECA at my school, Latin Team, Dumbach Scholars, Umpire, Umpire Supervisor, Roman Catholic Catechist, Crew Leader at Philmont (Backpacking trip), Torch Club (prestigious service club to my school), Election Judge, Robert Dold for Congress, Current events contributor for school newspaper, Track Freshman-Junior Year </p>

<p>Honors/Awards: Eagle Scout, Archdiocese of Chicago Year of the "Sunday Mass" Teen Video Contest First Place, Deerfield Optimist Club Award for Exemplary Service to the Community, Archdiocese of Chicago Youth Leadership Award for Making an Outstanding Contribution to the Church, Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Conference Student Ambassador</p>

<p>I agree with legooo. You’ve a very competitive applicant, and with a higher ACT score, you could definitely have a shot at getting accepted to Dartmouth. </p>

<p>The only thing I’m wondering is, which of your extracurriculars are you passionate about? There seems to be breadth but not necessarily depth; which activities are you most invested in, have spent the most time on, love doing most, etc.?</p>

<p>Ya i agree with TheBeatlestoday, i think i will focus on my religious involvement and political service.</p>

<p>What score on the Act would help my application?</p>

<p>I’d say shoot for <em>at least</em> a 34.</p>
