Chances for J-Schools

I'm a high school junior who plans on pursuing journalism in college. My top choices include Medill, UMich, NYU, BC, BU, Northeastern, UMD College Park, George Washington, and American

weighted GPA: 4.2
unweighted GPA: 3.6
SATs: taking in march
APs: US History
Honors: English, French, Art, Journalism, Bio (freshman year)
Also, my high school is known by colleges to be highly competitive

ECs: associate editor of school news website, mock trial, art classes outside of school, field hockey, track, peer mentor, summer restaurant job, church organization

Awards: "Superior" in NSPA editorial write-off, Underclassman Art Award freshman and sophomore year, my school's news website has also won national awards such as Pacemaker awards, Best in Show, and CSPA Gold Crown Awards

I am also a likely candidate for Editor-in-Chief my senior year, entered some of my writing in a contest (will find out in March), am entering another NSPA write-off, and plan on interning at a newspaper this summer.

What do you think are my chances for the schools I'm interested in, and do you have any suggestions of other schools I should apply to? Also what can I do to improve my chances?

Thank you!

It’s very hard to chance you without test scores. Anyways, you have a chance as long as you do well on the SATs. Also, are you signed up for the SAT 2 tests? Lastly, just try to get your gpa up for Medill and Mich!
