any input would be greatly appreciated

I think it will be a pretty big reach with those SAT 1 and 2 scores

ED does help, but depending on your intended major, you might have some issues. Your SAT scores are good, but for JHU, it might be on the low side in comparison to some other applicants. It’s interesting how your school gets kids into places like that with low scores, were they recruited for something? ECs and awards don’t jump out a whole bunch, but the essays are the most important! good luck!

Do you have a class rank? JHU will consider both your ranking and your GPA. Your SATs make JHU a big reach, albeit you are URM status. Nothing seems to jump out and your sub par SAT and SAT IIs can only hurt you. If you have a great essay though, I think it may be able to push you in, but this year’s ED is extremely competitive, as it is with all schools. Don’t bother going for an interview because admissions said themselves that interviews play little to no role in the process.

bigdreamer: Unless she’s applying to BME, her intended major doesn’t make it any harder or easier for her.

@R3d3mpti0n: They need to see if your ECs and passions match up with what you want to study. I wouldn’t say it has no impact whatsoever; I think it’s different than that. JHU is a reach for the OP, but I missed the part about int’l relations and pre-med track. I was wondering if OP had a BME mindset.

i am ranked #1 and no i am not interested in BME

and no the people who got in from my school were not recruited…they were just all URMs.
My essays were strong.

any more input?
