Chances for Johnson Scholarship at W&L

<p>Is anyone here a Johnson Scholar? What do you think my chances are for the Johnson Scholarship at Washington and Lee?
Here are my stats:
ACT: 35 (36 superscore, which I believe W&L does) 8 Essay
SAT: 2310 10 essay
SAT Subject: 800 Math 2, 800 Spanish, 780 Literature, 760 Physics
Awards: National Merit Semifinalist, Local awards for foreign language, math contests, Academic Decathlon
GPA: 4.0/4.0 (my school doesn't weight)
Rank: 2/168
ECs: Quiz Bowl (Captain), Academic Decathlon (Captain), Math Club (President), National Honors Society (Vice President), Church Hospitality Team (since 3rd grade), El Salvador mission trip (I served as a translator), Detasseling (it's an ag-related job during the summer), Cashier for 2 years
Essays: Common app is ok, Johnson scholarship essay is iffy.
State: Nebraska
School: public, about 170 per grade
Gender: XY
Race: white</p>

<p>Once the academic threshold is reached, its all about your essay and later interview. If that is iffy, I would assume that’s a deal breaker.</p>

<p>I actually interview quite well, though. (I placed 7th at state in interview for Academic Decathlon) Will someone read my essay? I guess I’ve already biased how you’ll look at it, but why not?</p>
