Washington & Lee Johnson Scholarship

I just got my SAT II scores back today, and I am extremely concerned I will not qualify for the W&L scholarship.
They were rather bad:
Chem - 660
Lit - 660
Math II - 700

My SAT I scores were:
CR - 670
Math - 740
Writing - 700

I therefore do not have the strongest SAT scores. Would you mind "chancing" me otherwise? Also, should I submit my SAT IIs? It says "recommended," and to question the adage, is it better to let them wonder if I am stupid rather than prove it?

Alright, here goes.
GRADES -

UW GPA: 4.0
Rank: 1/522
Senior Schedule:
- Advanced Jazz
- AP Gov
- AP Calc
- AP Lang
- Symphonic Ensemble & Composition
- AP Physics
- German III
- German IV

AP tests (not many are offered at my school): APUSH - 5, AP Lang - 5, AP Chem - 5

Academic awards include a Masonic Scholar Award, District-wide Excellence in English, a first place state-wide engineering award, and some other local things.

COMMUNITY SERVICE-

Camp counselor, volunteer waitress, science fair judge, volunteer pianist, hospital volunteer.
Some other stuff, but it adds up to 600 hours over the past 4 years. I also have earned a varsity letter each year for volunteer service.

MUSIC -

Lead pianist and oboe player in school bands, I accompany the school musical and the district junior high school musicals, I am a state competition performer for piano, and I am taking a theory class outside of school.

WORK EXPERIENCE -
I work 20 hours a week at a nursing home and referee soccer on the weekends.

I am a fairly good writer, so I feel that my essays will be alright. Teacher recs should be good as well.
I interview well, but I am primarily concerned about this first screening.
Do I even have a chance? Thanks a bunch. :)

I think you will earn admission to the school.

You still have a 2100 SAT, #1 in your class, you have work experience, and musical talent.

Scholarships are a whole different story.

Do live close enough to visit in person? If so, I would recommend you meet and take a tour. I agree with Floridadad55 about your admission.

Think cassie_skye is right about a campus visit being helpful. If a visit is not possible, then touch base with an alumni admissions rep if one is within striking distance of you. Keep in mind that the selection committee is not looking solely at test scores; I’ve met several of the class of 2015 Johnson Scholars, and they have a wide range of strengths and interests. One last point – write a thoughtful scholarship essay. Good luck!
