My son last year was admitted but did not receive Marquis Scholarship. He was 3.7 unweighted from a highly ranked Catholic Private on Long Island. He had 690M and 660CR and 700W. He also had a letter of recommendation from a very big alumni contributor. He had a number of very good extracurricular. He attended a NYC admissions show and visited the campus twice.

They say it is given out to the incoming top 10% of accepted students roughly. However, he didn’t get it and we moved on due to cost. He ultimately accepted very lucrative scholarships from University of Alabama (very different flavor) but he is very happy with his choice.

We both liked the school, it’s reputation, but without Marquis simply too expensive for us.
