Neat forum! I'm looking for some help with my chances in applying to McGill University.

GPA- 3.4 unweighted
SAT- 2140

AP Tests
French- 5
Econ- 4 (predicted)
Government- 3(predicted)

Extras
Eagle Scout
French Citizen
Academic decathlon
Competitive cycling
Key Club, NHS, Etc...

McGill decides based on 2 things - marks and Quebec/French-speaking-country citizenship. I'm from Canada so I don't know what a 3.4 GPA means in terms of percentage, but its in the 80s for most programs, although several programs vary up or down.

3.4 would be an 85.

why is there a chance thread for canadian university......basically anyone that wants in gets in......

What? I dont believe that to be remotely true...

ur gpa seems a little low but SAT is fine. I think you have a decent shot.

Let me make this a little more clear - Canadian universities DO NOT CARE about SATs, or even about extracurriculars (Queen's is an exception). An 85% should be enough to get you into most McGill programs though.

Quantum - You don't know what you're talking about, kindly keep your bigoted American views to yourself.

wrong...they do care about SATs if you are international.
