Additional Information
I applied Early Decision II. I have took 8 aps and all honors classes
throughout my college career. I talked to admissions officiers at Trinity, and they are aware of my school and they know that it is one of the best in Connecticut. I'm also indian(hindu) , how does that help as a Minority. I did the interview it went really well. I also got a rec from the tennis coach as well. Hes not able to make me shoe in for a slot, but he said he could write a letter. The tennis coach is also the men's squash coach as well, so admissions would hopefully be familiar with his name. My application essay was about poverty that i experienced both at home and in an international level. I wrote a very passionate personal essay on wrestling do so, i think that would benefit me as well. My recs from both my teachers and guidance counseler is terrific. My gpa and my sat might not be to trinity's standard, but it showed a huge level of interest and if i try to emphasize my diversity and my extracirriculars i think i can hopefully get in. Your thoughts?

oh btw i got a 610 and 620 in SAT II's for Math I and History. My major is sociology and i got a great rec from my teacher as well.

I would say you have a fair chance at getting in! Trinity is a safety for my daughter, and although your grades are somewhat below hers (she has a 3.62 GPA), you are far more involved than she is. Keep up the good work!

yeah i heard back i got deferred, i think they want to see more of my senior grades. Hopefully i can get in, im going to write them a letter of interest as well. I'm going to pray as much as i can, hopefully the outcome turns positive. Thanks alot though, if anybody else can give me their output it would be great!

I think you have a fair chance of getting in! best of luck

Wow, safety w/a 3.6GPA?

To be honest, I think you have a great application with the exception of test scores. If I were you, and I really wanted to get into Trinity, I would try retaking the ACT and resubmitting your scores along with a letter, whether or not this is a normal tactic. At this point, I think this move would be your only chance.
The problem with only writing a letter, is that the college already understands your commitment to Trinity, as this is implicit in that fact that you applied Early Decision. Once deferred under ED, its very tough to get into a school unless you somehow better your application.
Good luck, i really hope you take my advice. Your AP's+decent GPA+ecs would def. be enough if you had a better ACT. Go for it. Why not?

umm being indian is definitely NOT to your advantage... if you were black, hispanic or native american that's another story. but asians are NOT minorities, and this will not aid you in the college process. the only good thing about being indian and applying to trinity is that most asians are nerdy and unathletic, applying to schools like Penn and Caltech, so you're probably one out of a much smaller group of asians applying to a small liberal arts school.

oh and RETAKE the ACT!!!

Your test scores are probably the one thing holding you back. That is, I can't see anything wrong or unsatisfactory about your academic record.

guyz this would be my rough analysis
wat r my(international student) chances at trinity?
SAT:1700
GPA:3.2
ECAS:Average
