Chances for Middlesex, Andover, and Exeter

This is yet another chance thread (:

I'm applying for the 2010-2011 year as a freshman. My grades are pretty good, mostly As and A+s, a few B+s in 7th grade.

ECs:

I started my school newspaper club, editor-in-chief, 1 year
Math Club, president, 1 year
Piano, passed grade 5 ABRSM piano exam, 6 years
Flute, first chair in my band, 2 years
Community Service: volunteering at library for 2 years and I tutor after school every day.

My interview at Andover wasn't that great, but I don't think it was bad either. My Middlesex and Exeter interviews are scheduled for the next few weeks.

I took the ISEE in November, my scores were horible.
55 in reading comprehension, 77 in math, 82 in verbal, 85 in another math section. I took the SSAT this January; I'm not sure if I did too well on that.

My reccomendations are good. I've edited my essays several times. What are my chances for these schools?

just make sure the essays are really good as well as the interviews…
maybe your ssats were higher(?)
otherwise you seem well rounded.
what are your awards?

Good, but is different about you than other peopel that are applying. They look for Diversity.

Awards: not many… High Honor roll, High Academic Award, Presidential Fitness Award, highest average in my calss for all subjects, won a national poetry contest and was published in a poetry book. I’m aisanm, I can speak Chinese, I take Spanish and Latin.

That’s the problem, I don’t know what makes me different from other applicants.

umm i would take the presidental fitness award off

that doesnt really count

you have to be the most un-athletic kid in the world not to have one

i remember in like 6th grade i didnt even break a sweat hhah

ehh, I already put that on.

To be honest so so chance. Hopefully you will do well on the SSATs though. Can you chance me back please. :)

SSAT Score:

Verbal 710 81%

Math 743 88%

Reading 713 90%

Total 2166 89%
