Hello all,
I want to get into MIT Mfin or HBS 2+2 program and want to check if I can get in
Here’s my profile
GPA: 3.67/4.0 (It’s actually a 4.3 scale, I just converted it into a 4.0 scale), will be definitely over 3.70 after next semester cuz I am to retake a course
Major: Business (no minor / double-major, didn’t take econ/math classes but I did take 20+ business classes)
School: Top university in my home country (in East Asia but not China)
Work experiences: Summer internship at MS, six-month internship at PE, Student journalist for the Supreme court, Broadcasting
Toefl: 115
GMAT: 720
*Non-US Citizen (Asian) !!! & Female
Purpose of study: Actually want to get a finance job (IBD or PE - I’ve done internships on both and loved them) in NY or HK and I realized that I need “something” on my resume that can help me get into that inner circle. So basically I’m looking for a degree that has some prestige and can help me do networking.
I know my GPA is quite low (under 4.0 sclae) but our home country’s grading system is quite different from what’s used in the States.
I’m pretty sure that I’ll win a summa cum laude when I graduate.
Any advices on what to do? or are there any programs that fit into my profile?
Should I retake GMAT as I’ve taken it only once?
And is it better to apply with current GPA at like Nov. - early Dec. or should I retake the course and apply for the program with GPA over 3.7 at early Jan.?
Thanks in advance!
