No offense, but it sort of sounds like you are exaggerating, blau-bik. Because,3.99 is sort of odd and some of those awards are easy to obtain and you are making them sound much more prestigious then they truly are.

In general, there is no possible way to get a 3.99. All A's on an UW scale is 4.0, and all A's and a B is a 3.96 I believe, and all A's and a B+ (For my school at least) is a 3.98

I thought to be part of the DAR at all....win an award, or anything.....you need to be a direct descendant of someone who took part in the American Revolution. Now you say you are Indian, so it makes me wonder. All of the DAR folks here are WASPs.

uh whatevs dude, i literally just wrote what she dictated she got one A- and told me to put down a 3.99 the school doesn't calculate a gpa. yeah i mean alot of the awards she did get were from school hence why she didn't think she had a shot at exeter since alot of other kids who got in are pretty amazing. the wasp comment actually made me lol since i went to one of the award luncheons DAR hosted and literally all of the award recipients were Indian/Chinese and all the members were these waspy ladies. welcome to california. and yeah she got the advice she needed via pms and whatnot so its all good. this thread can die now.

I hope I didn't offend you, blau-bik....where I live all we have pretty much is WASPs. I'm not even exaggerating a bit. It's one of the big reasons my son wanted to go to bs....he felt stifled by the lack of diversity.
I think your sister sounds like she has an excellent shot. btw.
