<p>Im applying to the college of engineering, and I just want to know if I have a decent shot of getting accepted.</p>

<p>My guess is you will be fine. Your standardized scores arent great but some folks dont test well. Your GPA, ECs, course load, being in state and being a minority will all work for you. Relax and have OTHER OPTIONS LINED UP.</p>

<p>Thanks for the reply. I also applied to UNC Charlotte and North Carolina A&T, I feel pretty confident about those two.</p>

<p>I do plan on taking the ACT also. I already took it once, but I only got a 24, so I didn’t send my scores to State.</p>

<p>Relax. NC State is a fairly easy school to be accepted to. Especially if you are a resident. I heard they accept 96% in state applicants. My suggestion is to email/call or have a meeting with a admissions counselor at NC state or your school counselor to see what you can do to help increase your chances. I personally think you will be fine and have a good shot at acceptance.</p>

<p>Actually, a 24 on the ACT is like getting a 1700 on the SAT so NCSU is a low match now…</p>

<p>I don’t have an opinion but my credentials are close to yours. Act was a 24(going to retake) haven’t taken sat(will in may) I played v coed track freshman year job basketball 9th and 10th and v bball 11 th. I am a junior. I’ve taken over 8 honors classes…two ap classes(taking like 5 next year) am a member of beta club and results are not in on nhs yet</p>
