Chances for New Brunswick?

3.4 CUM GPA out of 4.6(?) scale my school uses. School is very competitive and one of the highest schools ranked in NJ & in the country for a public school. It's an upward trend GPA, did horrible freshman year. 1660 on the SATs (CR: 550, M: 570, W:540). 4 APs, no honors. Tons of extracurricular activities and I am on board for a club. Essay was great. What are my chances for SAS in New Brunswick? I submitted my app for early action, it has been almost 3 weeks so far - no response.

Well you’re a borderline applicant, I applied to SAS NB and I am also, so we probably won’t be hearing back until December/January. As for your chances, I’d say that that they’re 50/50. New Brunswick is definitely a bit of a reach but don’t let that get you down, both of us May still get in.

You can get in! I got in with a 3.5 GPA out of (also) a 4.6 scale. (I also applied for SAS-NB & for early action). I did no extra activities nor did I volunteer. My superscored SAT was a 1740 (CR: 560 M: 630 W: 550)
