NYU is my top school and here’s some of my numbers, but additionally I came from peru when I was 10 and I’m fluent at talking in english (even though I hate the language subject by nature).I applied to Tandon School of Engineering.
SAT: 570 R+W, 690 MATH -> 1260
ACT: 1 time, not sent (too low, can’t remember)
GPA: 3.64 (senior not included, not sure if they’ll know), Senior- 4.15/4.06 (1st 2 quarters)
AP’s (not sent): 4 stats, 3 biology
RELEVANT COURSES: AP Stats, AP bio, AP Calc BC (A so far), AP Psych (A+'s), AP Art 2D, AP Physics 1, Pre calc H.
ECs: Swim team (10,11,12), FBLA (Began Senior), Soccer JV (10), Track (10), Natl. Soc. of High Sch. Scholars, 30 serv. hrs. (req. in my school)
ACOMPLISMENTS: Swim team effort award (10), science award (9), achievement award (9), NSHSS(11+12), Usually Honor Roll, Central Conn Conf All Academic Team(12, will submit today not sure if they will look at)
Additionally, on March 19 I sent a link on zeemee.com with some of my drawings (proffesional level good) and states that I’m currently working to learn Swift (coding)
Intended major: engineering undecided
In the Why NYU essay I said that I came from a different country, learned new language, NYU as intnl platform, etc.
Personal essay: 8/10
I should mention that I got accepted at Fordham and denied from Boston University and Northeastern. Please note that my sat has a very good math score.
Subject tests: Math 1(690), Math 2(650)
