I'm not sure, I think that you have AN ok chance, I mean better than me! Any leadership roles in any of the clubs that you were in? JW and not to be of any offense, but why is your SAT I score so low, in comparison to your ACT score and your National Merit Qualification score? JW...once again. If I HAD to put a percent on it you have about a 65% chance. It just seems that you're not that active in school. Do you have like a life story like your parents were straight from India (shoe-in if so)? 65% is good...compared to everyone else.

Well, I've been an active leader in boy scouts for the last 3 years, and the SAT score was kinda a fluke. I'm fairly confident that the next one will be much better, however.

I also forgot to include 1 (soon to be two) year of worldwide youth in science and engineering competition.

Adn well, my parents are 1st gen immigrants, and worked their way up (my dad used to be a fryer cook). I've also moved around quite a bit, so I have a good amount of exposure.

I was a founding member of science club, as well.

Thanks for the questions, I appreciate the help very, very much.

Just write a great essay and you will be in pretty good shape. Being an eagle scout helps a lot, luckily for me as my grades aren't quite as good as yours. You might want to take some SATIIs, especially math iic if your planning on going into engineering. Your only downfall might be the fact that you are asian and male, as it is becoming progressively harder for white and asian males to be accepted to selective schools, they're just to over represented. Other than that your stats and ECs look great (an ACT of 33 is the equivalent of a 1470), so make sure your essay is great and you'll have as good a chance as anyone. Good Luck.

You are in really good shape. Write a good essay. The fact that they have their own topics instead of using common application should tell you how seriously they look at essays. Don't stress out about it though; have fun with it instead.
