I want to know what are my chances for NYU Stern. I'm pretty sure I can get in but what about Merit Scholarships with my Grades and SAT scores?

Other List of schools I want to attend:

University of Chicago

Boston College

Duke

UMich

Carnegie Mellon

Can you guys tell me what my chances are at the schools above?

bump
10 char

I think you have a great chance at Stern...Stern's my first choice as well (class of 07)...evaluate my chances at http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=179903. Good night, Good luck, and I'll see you at NYU Stern in 07!!!!!

I would say:
-Chicago: totally depends on essays
-Boston College: Accept EA/RD
-Duke: Tossup ED/RD
-UMich: accept if you apply before November 1. Tossup if later.
-Carnegie Mellon (I'll assume you're going for Tepper): Tossup ED/RD
-NYU Stern: Tossup, gravitating to Accept ED/Tossup RD

hey thanks. What is tossup and RD? sorry I'm a noob

Tossup-too hard to tell
RD-regular decision

do i really have toss up at NYU stern? I thought I was pretty safe to get in.

NYU takes unweighted, and their average is 3.63 but your SAT is pretty much in the range though. Retake the SATs (and practice the crap out of it) in oct and it could possibly become a safety. But you'll pretty much get in for ED. I think...
