What are my chances of getting into NYU/ Stern?

I attend a private school with a dual curriculum.
GPA 3.8/4.3 (un-weighted)

SAT I: 640M/610V(I'm retaking it in October, What do you think my target score should be?)

SATII: Math Level 1 690; U.S. History 660 (Should I retake?)

AP: Junior Year: U.S. History; Senior Year: Government, Literature, Economics, and Physics.

I'll have about 100 hours of community service by the time I graduate high school.

My extracurriculars are decent, but nothing great.

I should have really good recommendation letters.

Thanks!

your gpa and test scores are average, so i hope you write an incredible essay and receive great recs.

don't retake sat II's. if you could get your gpa up with all A's, you'll be fine. good luck

No, I disagree about not retaking SAT IIs. You should aim for at least a 2100 on the new SAT and at least 700s on the SAT IIs, unless you have outrageous ECs.

Edit: I was admitted to Stern this past admissions cycle. If you want more information, I can PM you my stats.

I'm inclined to agree with Fandango. People make it in with scores in the 600s, but you have a much better shot when you break 700 and 750. Like I say, higher test scores never hurt.
