Chances for PSU

Hey there, I have no problem chancing people back, just looking for some opinions.

I applied to:

Penn State - University Park
Maryland - College Park
UMass - Amherst
West Chester
South Carolina - Columbia
URI

SATs:

CR: 520
Math: 590
Writing: 590
(1110/1600) (1700/2400)

GPA: 4.13/4.5 (weighted)

Rank: 71/327 (top 25%)

Extra Curriculars:

I'm in every band at my school. I play in the Marching Band, Jazz Band, Concert Band, Pep Band, Percussion and Wind Ensembles for school, and I've been in All-shore Jazz band for 2 years, and symphonic for 3. I have been section leader my 11th and 12th years, and I have made academic honor roll for all quarters in high school.

Recently, I was admitted into West Chester and rejected from Maryland. I'd just like to know what you guys think about my other schools, ESPECIALLY Penn State University.. That's my #1 school. I missed the priority deadline, and I'm not sure of my chances... Let me know :)! I will chance back :)

Your CR is a bit low. If you don’t get in to main, then they also have satellite campuses and a 2+2 program where you spend 2 years at the satellite and transfer… something like that.

good luck

Anyone else? Think I have any shot of getting into UP if not, what about altoona?

I think you have a great chance of making it to PSU university park.
I got in with a 3.07 GPA and 1770/2400 on SAT

3.79 weighted btw

I emailed the admissions office and told them about my interest in auditioning for Blue Band (Marching Band) and all of the other ensembles. Do you think this could alter my chances for the better or worse…?

My friend got into PSU yesterday… My grades, rank, ecs, and SATs are all better than hers… I don’t think she applied priority, think I can get in?
