Hello guys! So far I have been rejected from UCD and UCSD. I don't consider myself to be the greatest student, but I know that I can't be all that bad. On the bright side I have already been accepted to SJSU and CSUN, I am a California Resident.

What chance do ya'll think I have at UCB, UCLA, and UCSB? I applied to major in Computer Science for all of them.

Here are my stats:

GPA - 3.68

SAT - 1840

EC - I have done four years of AFJROTC and have attained many leadership positions with my senior year being the third in command and effectively a leader of 50+ cadets and a role model for 150+ cadets. Also from jrotc I have accumulated roughly 250+ community service hours and have a couple awards.

Also on a little note I did Marching Band my freshmen year.

I'm not sure what else you may want to get the best chanc-o-meter, but anything helps at this point as I am fretting.

No chance for any of them. I’m gonna tell you that, right now. So you had best start mentally preparing yourself for rejection…
The UCs are purely a numbers game. Sorry bud.

I agree with STheart, if you didn’t get into Davis and San Diego its not looking good for Berkeley and LA;they are way more prestigious/competitive than UCD and UCSD.

I was pretty sure that you would have a chance at UCSB. By the way, it is a great school as is SJSU and CSUN. To be honest, for your major, I would seriously consider SJSU due to its proximity to great tech jobs and potential internships. However, UCSB is one of the most beautiful campuses in the World with million dollar views of the beach… You got a hard life ahead of you buddy!

Well I got accepted to UCSB, but not for Computer Science. They went ahead and put me as undeclared in Letters and Science even saying that transferring to a major in engineering later would be slim to none… However at SJSU I got in as my intended major.

I currently live in San Jose and would love to move out and experience a total new setting tho…
