Chances for Scholars Program....or Honors?

<p>GPA : 3.714 unweighted......weighted is 4.26
(it would be like a 3.8 or higher but slight dip sophemore year...but i brought it back up)</p>

<p>Hardest Possible Courseload</p>

<p>Rank: top 8% of 234 students (rank is by weighted GPA)...competitve private school also</p>

<p>ACT :29 (equals a 1920 SAT)</p>

<p>Extracurricular Activities</p>

<p>-Diversity Awareness Club- President</p>

<p>-Spanish Club- President (i want to minor in spanish)</p>

<p>-150 hrs of community service- tutoring children</p>

<p>-Work at grocery store -15hrs/week during school year ( I hope that counts for something)</p>

<p>-Summer internship-IRS 40hrs a week for 10 weeks</p>

<p>-a couple of summer programs</p>

<p>-I served on my school's board which was like a 3 yr process</p>

<p>-yearbook club</p>

<p>Ive done a couple of other things but you get the picture.</p>

<p>-also i'm in an accelerated program where I get a scholarship to my HS</p>

<p>I think you should easily be able to get into scholars...But I'm not so sure about honors.</p>

<p>i certianly agree. You already have scholars under your belt; however, for honors i am not entirely certain. I would think you would get it though1 60% chance i would say. Maybe they will take grace on you because your african american (not implying anything, i am not a rasict, colleges are just more preferential towards minorities.) Anywhos best of luck, apply iam 100% sure you will get into one of them. :)</p>
