pretty much it, applying to UCI, UCSD, UCSB, CSULB, how am i looking ?
also does having jobs affect the application process at all ?

TBH, the GPA is actually pretty low, is that your UC GPA? I think the UCs are reaches and CSULB (is that a CSU?) if it's a CSU is a match.

UCSD--Reach
UCI/UCSB--Slight Reach
Cal State Long Beach--Match

You should also apply to:

UCSC--Match to Slight Reach (much closer to a Match for you)
UCR--Match
UC Merced--Safety

It's beautiful up here in the Santa Cruz area--and the school is very good, too--especially in Biology and it has the best Computer Game Design major in the country.

P.S. For those who are considering this Computer Game Design major--you need to know that the school is offering special scholarships in this next year to incoming freshmen since they won a big lawsuit against Sony that designates that all the money has to go to students going into this major.
