I have gotten accepted so far to CSU Channel Islands, and am still waiting on responses from CSU Fullerton and CSU Long Beach. I applied to all 3 schools on 08/21/17. Also, I sent my final transcripts to all 3 the following day.
Here are my stats:
My GPA: 2.91 (3.01 with bump after AD-T)
Degrees: AA-T for Psychology and AA for Behavioral Science
Major: Psychology
Pre-req’s: Completed
Golden 4 courses: 2 A’s and 2 C’s.
Local?: non-local
I have yet to hear from CSULB, but last week I received an email from CSUF regarding verification of my AA-T. Then, they emailed me back a few days ago confirming they received my transcripts along with the AD-T posted. Lastly, I checked my to-do list for Fullerton and it is empty.
Maybe they already have it verified? Call the admissions department and ask them if they have it! I had to do that to make sure. They will let you know
Thankyou ! Congrats as well
I read on a forum that if your transferring as an aa-t student your considered local ? Tbh idk how true that is but I’m hoping it’s true that will increase our chances forsure .
hi!! i’m waiting to here back from csuf too- i currently attend csumb but am extremely unhappy here… i’m originally from orange county but my gpa is pretty low because of some failed attempts at passing a math class, i have a 2.8 with my AA-T bump. i just got waitlisted for csulb- and i was waitlisted for csuf when i applied for the fall semester 2017. fingers crossed!!
@berr3971 hi! that’s not good I’m glad you’re making the decision to switch. I’m almost positive you will get into CSU Fullerton, the local GPA cutoff is a 2.57 and for out of local is a 3.25. Best of luck to you, fingers crossed!!
I applied to CSUF and CSULB for Sociology with a 3.21 and AA-T boost which makes it a 3.31.
I have not received an email asking for verification. I’m out of local as well so does the GPA cut off include the boost?? I’m so nervous! I hope I’m able to get in…
@emlphan Maybe they do not require your verification? Sometimes, they may already have it but the best thing is to call the admissions office and ask them to check your record for transcripts/ AA-T degree
I’m will be fine with your GPA, but I will call Monday again in regards to it and update you!
Hello everyone, congrats to all those who have been accepted and for those who are still waiting for responses, don’t lose hope!!!
I checked my portal on 10/30 and saw I was offered a place on their official waitlist so I accepted. Does anybody know how likely it is for you to be accepted if you get on the waitlist and when they will let you know their decision?
