<p>Just a heads up, UVA isn't THAT much cheaper out of state. It's still going to run you $20,000+, better than $40,000, sure, but not as good as say the $8500 is in instate.</p>
<p>I don't know much about UVA, but you are a remarkably solid candidate. ECs a little fluffy, but not a real problem. GPA a little low, but scores great.</p>
<p>University of Virginia is one of the few schools where race/ethnicity is a "very important" factor rather than a "considered" factor. This gives you leg up.
Besides that, your scores are amazing, your ECs are above-average, but your GPA is below average for top schools. Still, you did take the rigorous IB program which will be in your favor.
All said and done, I think you will get into UVA OOS.</p>
