You're accepted

We’re talking Harvard here. You are not Harvard material. You don’t seem to have a clue what that means, you just want to go there without doing the heavy lifting, and there should be some heavy lifting somewhere. I don’t see it.

Your once chance is that you have that Latin blood coursing thru your veins. That is really helpful. It will def get you off the waitlist. But you have to qualify for the waitlist.

Someone above said something about doing “2 or 3” things really extraordinary. Nah. You need ONE thing and it MUST be EXTRAORDINARY, it has to JUMP off the page. Even you can see you do not jump off. Why not? What are you waiting for?

You speak Spanish? Capitalize on that. Prove it! What have you been doing with your summers? Anything impressive? Let me tell you what my daughter did (and I am a single mother with a crappy little job): volunteer at orphanage in South Africa; volunteer Eng. teacher for children of migrant farmworkers in China; volunteer Cleanup crew at P.R.envelopment; political volunteer at 2 dif’t local races; nat’lly ranked jr tennis player, varsity tennis; more. She had essays off the charts. Use your fluency in Sp to make the world a better place. Them you’ll be Harvard material.
