Hi everyone!

I am currently thinking about attending a UC school. I am a junior in high school. I am interested in attending either UCR (love the medical program), UCI (love the city and atmosphere) or UCLA (love everything). I already have taken into consideration that UCLA is a big stretch for me and I understand.

Here are some of my test scores/grades/extracurriculars:

10-12 Unweighted GPA: 3.7
10-12 Weighted: 4.3
ACT Score: 26
Top 3% of my class
I have am currently taking 4 AP’s and I took one last year. At the end of senior year, I should have 8/9 AP classes completed.

Activities: (I am including my activities up throughout senior year)
ASB Student Leadership (3 years)
UNICEF member- officer for three years. President senior year (4 years)
Doctors of Tomorrow- took charge of club/created it. Member- officer for three years. President sophomore-senior year (4 years)
Tennis Team player and manager (3 years)
Mission Inn Tour Guide (3 years)
CSF (4 years)
NHS (3 years)
UCR Future Physician Leaders (4 years)
Link Crew (2 years)

Community service: by senior year will be 500+ hours

-tutoring/mentoring

You are on the right track with your grades so at the end of Junior year, calculate your UC GPA; http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

You have some leadership in your EC’s which is good, so continue being involved. You need to retake your ACT if you plan to gain admission at UCLA or UCI. You are on target for UCR. Bumping up your score will not only help your chances at UCLA/UCI, you could also qualify for several scholarships upon admission at UCR.

For UCLA, aim for a 32+ for UCI 29+.
