Chance for:
Williams
Amherst
Middlebury
Bowdoin (Legacy!)
Dartmouth
Swarthmore
Pomona
...and I guess Yale, for kicks

Thanks!

Academically you would be an excellent canidate for LAC. Although its hard to predict your chances, since LAC focus on teacher recs and essay. GOOD LUCK!!

Why are you retaking a 760? That’s silly.

Yeah, I guess it is, but I really felt I could have gotten an 800. I’d take it more to put it right in my own mind than anything else.

Your SAT is fantastic and it can only hurt you to retake it. It would be necessary even if you do get an 800 (and there is a chance the score could go down) since this would be a warning flag to many colleges that you are unhappy without near perfection. Your chances look very good to me across the board.

Your academics are near to perfect! (I wish I could be that smart haha)
You have some great ECs, and I can tell music is a major focus of yours!

Williams = reach
Amherst = low reach
Middlebury = match/low reach
Bowdoin (Legacy!) = match :slight_smile:
Dartmouth = match/low reach
Swarthmore = match
Pomona = reach
Yale = high reach (it always is)

The thing is with LACs its very difficult to tell, especially considering you have like the 5 best ones haha. Im sure you will do fine for most of them though :)

Chance me back?: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1175633-chance-me.html</a>
Thanks :P

Yeah, only both Amherst and Swarthmore are harder to get into than Williams.

Why do people even bother, seriously.

Yale is definitely a reach
Williams, Amherst, Dartmouth are a slight reach but I think you have a really good shot at them
Middlebury and Bowdoin you can get into

Im not as familiar with Pomona and Swarthmore

I think your stats look great! Good luck!

Chance back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1172307-chance-dartmouth-ed-brown-ed-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

Your Gold. Middlebury and Swarthmore you have a good chance. The rest are reach schools, but you should still apply. My cousin had the same SAT scores and GPA and got into Dartmouth!

youd be surprised with schools like middlebury and bowdoin. i knew a kid who applied to both and got denied, but got into harvard and yale

As already mentioned, top LACs are really a crapshoot. But you are obviously talented academically and are involved in school, so you have a great chance. You should definitely get into a good number of them, apply ED to one if you really like it- it really improves your chances! (and most have two rounds of ED)

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1177043-do-i-have-enough-good-ecs-ill-chance-back.html</a></p>

Don’t underestimate Pomona, either. I was accepted to Middlebury but waitlisted by Pomona. Didn’t make a lot of sense to me at the time.

Try looking at Claremont McKenna, too. It’s slightly less selective than Pomona, but still a really great LAC.

Bowdoin should be straightforward - they have 10:1 girl applicants to guys, so you have a much better shot even than the acceptance rate. With strong essays/recs/interview/etc, you should have a very strong shot at any of those schools. Yale, of course, is always another matter, but if you really want to go then apply ED and see what happens.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1177541-chance-rising-senior.html</a></p>

Wow u seem big on music… Here’s what I think

Williams = low reach
Amherst = low reach
Middlebury = match
Bowdoin = In
Dartmouth = match
Swarthmore = in
Pomona = match
Yale = high reach

As far a academics, your in at all of them, but LAC’s don’t concentrate on those. I saw a pie chart comparing admissions for LAC’s and normal colleges. LAC’s were 25% academics, 25% SAT’s and 50% EC’s,teacher recs, etc, so that’s what u have to focus on.

Chance me back!
