Im applying for next spring so ill have another 2 semesters worth of grades that will hopefully help. I know columbia is next to impossible to get in, especially for transfers, but i was just hoping for some objective opionions. Thanks !

well, you stand out, and you've certainly had superlative success.

have a quality visit here and develop a good Why-Columbia blurb. show your depth of thought and character in your essay.

I dunno. you probably have better than average odds, but nobody applying transfer to columbia has 'good' odds.

I agree with Denzera about the "Why Columbia?" essay question. I went to NYU this year for my freshman year, and was recently admitted to Columbia as a transfer student. If you want my stats and junk, feel free to PM me. You can also ask any questions you might have along the transfer process. Best of luck to you! The transfer forum might also prove to be very useful.

Agree that it's going to hinge on your intangibles. Your paper stats are fine. You're going to have to sell Columbia on who you are and why you're wanting to move from a LAC to Columbia.

It's funny, you forgot to mention, as others have said, the single most important criterion in the transfer process: a legitimate reason to transfer. Your stats are definitely good enough, the rest is about convincing the AdCom why you are right for Columbia and it is right for you.

For a school of NYU's caliber, they have many students who want to transfer from it. It really asks the question why students chose it in the first place.
