My son is applying to U of T St. George for computer science. We are from the US. He is taking SAT subject tests next month, but so far his SAT scores are 710 Math 690 Verbal with a 6/5/6 on the Written Essay. He has a 4.24 weighted GPA with many honors classes and some APs. My biggest question is whether that 5 on the written essay is going to knock him out of the box?

The 5 on the essay won’t kick him out of the box, but his SAT scores are relatively low. UTSG computer science admissions is very competitive. Admission as a freshman to the program is not a guarantee that they will be admitted to the major.
