<p>Hi guys, i'm an international student and in all honesty, i really don't think i can get into UC berkeley. Most people said i hve a high chance,,,,but i don't think so,,, :( </p>

<p>SAT 1 - 2010 (I'm gonna retake it again in Oct. Trying to get over 2150.
SAT 2 - math 780 korean 800 (Predict)
A-level (A* or A in math, A or B in economics, B Accounting)(Predict)
GPA - (our school is percentage based and no GPA) So just skip,,,,
JLPT (japanese Language Test) - N4 (intermediate Level)
ABRSM Grade 8 cello (highest - obtaining rights to teach children) and Grade 5 Theory
National Economics Competition (All secondary Schools) - top 8 (0.001%)
International Songwriting Competition (judges include adele, nas, tom waits, etc) - won the title of semi finalist (1500 out of 22000) for first ever produced hip hop song.
Red Cross Retail Shop (second hand shop) (volunteered for almost 2 years) - managing some accounting works, cashier works, ironing clothes, organizing the shop.
Busking License - donated money from doing busking to red cross shop. </p>

<p>School Related activities: </p>

<p>Leader of International Student Association - 1 year
Cello Principal of chamber orchestra - 3 years
Cello principal of 4 Schools Combined Orchestra (4 schools have the same foundation)
Striker in Outdoor soccer - 2 years, vice captain 1 year
Indoor soccer - 1 year
Executive Producer/Music Producer/Writer in songwriting project group (no support from the school, just pure nothing to something!)
Peer Tutoring - 1 year </p>

<p>Also, i just want to share my feelings of my high school life with you. </p>

<p>About Music: Since i was very young, i've been listening to a lot of operas and i love classical music, thanks to my dad's influence (My dad and I often go to the opera house together). However, while i was in high school I met a friend who was willing to rap (conscious rap)(basically our taste of hip hop is kendrick, j.cole, lupe, common, kanye, nas, mos def, Mad villain, Joey Badass, Pro era, Chance the rapper, Ab-soul etc) so i pretty much have a polaristic taste of music. The reason why I want to produce music is that if even one person can be healed by my music, i would be satisfied and willing to produce more songs. What I love, most of all, about music is when politics and religion cannot agree, music has always been able to bridge all gaps. </p>

<p>About Economics - I used to get 40's 50s in my first year, but i worked really hard to improve my grades and have built up in depth knowledge of economics. As a result, i usually got 70's and at the end of my second year in high school i won a prize in a national economics competition. </p>

<p>I really wanna study economics/finance in those unis....... and simultaneously keep producing music. </p>

<p>In all honesty, i've done those activities or competitions for reasons, not like some students just trying to gain CVs,,,,</p>

<p>we need your GPA because that’s 2/3 of the decision for UCs. If it’s 3.9 and above, you have good chances</p>

<p>^Yes, but it’s different for internationals.</p>

<p>You will probably get in because the school needs your full fees. No scholarship money is available for international students with your stats, so you will be paying full fees ~$50K for tuition.</p>

<p>@Thebeatlestoday definitely true man its different for international students since their educational systems are way more different than GPA. </p>

<p>@aunt bea i’m not looking for any aids. Willing to pay full fees, coz i don’t hve a spectacular resume for merit aids. </p>

<p>So guys do i have a good chance???</p>

<p>Berkeley admits far fewer int’ls compared to UCLA.
You’ll need to raise your SAT scores to have a good chance.</p>
