chances for UC?

Ok I am a junior right now. I got a 3.5 GPA weighted sophomore and junior year combined so far. I want to be an engineer. I took AP World Last Year, got a B and passed the AP Test with a 3. I am taking advanced English for all 3 years so far and am taking AP Physics B, AP Calc AB, and AP US History this year.

I have a A- in Physics, and a B in History. However, I have a C in Calc AB for both semesters. I am worried that this C will hurt my chances of getting into an engineering major for UC's. I am going to do some summer classes this year and I think I can get my GPA up to 3.7. What UC's do you think would take me for engineering? ALso, my SAT score is a 2100.

Cool! You picked a great major. However it is the hardest and “coincidently” the hardest to get into. Your sat is great, gpa a little low. I think if you have good E.c and essays you’ll be fine at UCI, USD, UCSB. UCR is almost for sure. UC Berkely and LA are reaches and I would say UCSD is somewhat of a reach but you never know. You stand good right now, keep it up!
