Chances for UCB, UCLA, U of M, IU, UW

Hi! I’m new to this so I’m sorry if this is posted in the wrong place. I am extremely interested in Cal Berkeley and UCLA, and also the University of Michigan , Indiana, and Wisconsin. I was just wondering what my chances of getting in would be. I currently am a sophomore so I have only taken the PSAT (1320/1520) and I haven’t taken the ACT or SAT yet. Currently, my cumulative GPA is a 4.05 (I took APUSH this year), but I am taking more AP classes like AP Prob and Stats and AP Micro Macro next year. I am also taking Spanish 4, Honors Precalc, Chemistry, Honors Sci-Fi, and Advanced Comp. My extracurriculars are Student Congress, Unified Sports (helping disabled kids play sports), Key Club, Tennis, and Golf. This summer, I am attending a leadership camp nd I am going to be a counselor at a camp for kids with Muscular Dystrophy. I am hoping to join NHS next year.
So far, all of my classes have been:

9th grade:
Chamber Winds Band (not many other freshmen made it into chamber winds, my school has a great band program)
Spanish 2
Geophysical Science
World History
English 9
Honors Geometry

10th Grade:
Honors Biology
AP US History
Honors Alg 2 w/ trig
Spanish 3
American Literature
Personal Fit/Health

Plans for Junior Year:
AP Micro
AP Macro
AP Prob and Stats
Honors Precalc
Spanish 4
Chemistry
Advanced Comp/Honors Sci-Fi

Plans for Senior Year:
AP Spanish
AP psychology
Calculus BC

I’m planning on getting my undergrad in business. My top choices are:

  1. UC Berkeley
  2. UCLA
  3. University of Michigan (in-state)
  4. Indiana University
  5. University of Wisconsin-Madison

No way to access your chances until you have test scores and finish up your Junior year. You are on the right track so keep up the good work. Make sure all these schools are affordable since the UC’s offer no FA if you are OOS.

Talk to your parents: do they have 250K in a college fund for you? If not, can they afford 60+K a year for your education, out of pocket (from savings and income)?
If not, UC’s are out of the picture (no financial aid).
There are very few scholarships for OOS applicants at UWisconsin, so, again you’d have to be full pay - can your parents afford that? If they can’t, and you’re interested in a big university in a college town, look into UGeorgia or UMass Amherst. If you’re interested in the upper Midwest, Carlson Business School at UMN-TC is top-notch.
Indiana Kelley is a reference but highly competitive to get into. Miami-Ohio and Ohio University may give you merit aid, and are excellent too.
Fordham and DePaul in Chicago may interest you if you’re looking for a big city.

You cannot predict your junior year off of your sophomore year! Sorry, but you can’t!

Was your freshman band a graded course? Otherwise, I don’t see a VPA required by California public schools.
Also if you are OOS, for California, you will be stuck with outrageous tuition and fees.
