Any advice as to what I could do to improve my chances would be great. Do I have any chance at all?
Thanks

You will definetly get into UConn. Your sats are sound, and if you do well on the sat 2s, you should send them in. However they are not required for admission into the honors program. I had stats a bit lower than yours, but I received the full tuition leadership scholarship program. Since you're in need of money like me, you should apply for the capitol scholarship program, I received 2000 dollars from them. I would say you have a sound chance of admission into the honors program. I believe if your admission is on the borderline, then they will take your activities and recs more into account. Good luck, and I hope to see you in shipee next year.

I just got my acceptance letter to the honors program today. My stats are quite similar to yours; leadership, sports, top grades.. the works. The only thing I see that may need a bit of work is the sat math score. I have a friend who is quite involved and is ranked in the top 2% but his sats were a bit subpar. I would concentrate on breaking 700 on the math and i am sure you would be a shoe in.

Actually, your stats for the Honors College seem pretty good! I got in with a 650 in math but I also had 800 V and 800 W
However, I'm also OOS (Maine) , so if you're an in state student, then you have an even better chance of getting in.
My class rank might have been a LITTLE higher, but it was pretty similar.

I can't see why you weren't admitted into the honors program. Personally, I think the honors program is really random in who they select. Last year I got in with only a 1400 and the 3.8 weighted GPA, and was ranked only in the top 20%; while my friend who had a 4.2 weighted GPA and was in the top 10% didn't get in (although her SATs where less than a 1400). However, I know many people in the honors program who had SAT scores less than 1400 and who had ACT scores less than 30.

You should call them. I was surprised when I didn't get a scholarship from UConn. I called them and they said they must have overlooked my application, and afterwards they gave me a scholarship.
