Chances for UCs (Berk, LA, SD, I, etc.) and UT Austin?

-Applying to UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCI, and UT Austin, california resident

NHS secretary (12th grade)

The main things that concern me are my mediocre GPA and class rank. and weak ECs.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read, any thoughts are appreciated

My stats are kind of similar to yours, except my SAT is lower (1930), but I'm retaking it to hopefully get over 2100.

I'd say UCB/UCLA - low reach
UCSD - match

You need to add more safeties. In your list, only UCI is your match. Last year, there was somebody with 2300 SAT and 3.5 uw GPA that did not get into UCSD. If you are male, add more LACs, they tend to give more preferences to male.

UCLA and Berkeley are both reaches. SD is a slight reach as well due to your gpa. Scores are good, but gpa is low for those schools. Good luck

would you have any specific suggestions, columbia?

I'm not all too familiar with any Liberal Arts colleges.

A friend of my daughter got into Reed and WSUTL with lower GPA and similar SAT I as yours. He was rejected from Claremont McKenna. Do you want to go out of state?

For CA:
Occidental(Obama went here for 2 years)

Some suggestions for Out of State, some are more selective than others:
Oberlin
Kenyon College (Ohio)
Whitman College (Washington State)
Washington & Lee(Virginia)
William & Mary(Virginia)
American University(Washington DC)
Beloit Coll (WI)
Carleton Coll (MN)
Kalamazoo College

Oh, I thought your UC GPA was 4.0... nevermind my chances then.
