Chances for UMich Ann Arbor? Northwestern?

I'm a junior in high school (finished with first semester). I plan to go into business (hopefully Ross).

SAT: 2080 (630 R, 750 M, 700 W) - I definitely plan on retaking it, I took this one without studying much at all
ACT: Haven't taken it for real yet, I'm getting 33-34 in practices though

Right now, I have a 3.9722 GPA and I'm ranked 36 out of a class size of 499 (weighted GPA)
I don't know what my unweighted is about a 3.51 from what I calculated.

I've taken 3 AP tests (World, US History, and Bio) and I've gotten 4s on all of them. I took the SAT Subject Test for all three as well, with a 570 on World (yeah not sending that), a 670 on Bio and a 700 on US History.

In high school, I've gotten 6 B's (both semesters of AP US History, one semester of AP Bio, one semester of Honors Precalc, one semester of Honors Zoology, and one semester of gym) and 2 C's (one semester of AP Calc BC and one semester of AP Bio)

Extracurricular wise, I'm pretty involved outside of school. I'm president of our school's student government (Congress), I'm in NHS, Link Crew, and a few other clubs. I've had a job at a tutoring center for 3 years (Kumon) and plan to continue senior year. I'm PR Manager of our school store, which is actually part of an Advanced Marketing class that is a 2 hour block.

I'm planning for an unweighted 4.0 this semester hopefully. Next year I plan on taking Honors Humanities, AP Psych, AP Stats, a business class, Honors Physics, and I'm going to dual enroll in a college and take Calc 3 and 4.

Do I have a shot at getting into either UMich Ann Arbor or Northwestern? My dad went to UMich but I don't know if that helps with getting in or not. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

You’ll get into Mich.

I wouldn’t be so sure Michael, especially considering the massive increase of applications over the last few years.

Your projected ACT is fine, your extracurriculars are pretty good, and your course rigor is great, but your GPA is to hurt you. I would treat both U-M and Northwestern as slight reaches or high matches with an UW GPA of only a 3.5. Good luck.
