UVA and UNC somewhat depend on where you live. You are match to either if you are in state and likely if you are not.

@anonymous26 I’m not instate for any schools I’m applying to. But thanks for your reply!

Anyone else that can help?

Oh and just found out I’m definitely top 2% in a class of 541.

BC UNC are matches. UVA and CMU are high matches. Notre Dame and NYU are low reaches because of the business schools

@cappex thanks so much! for like high match vs match, does higher match mean I have a better chance in getting into CMU/UVA than BC/UNC

High match means it will be more difficult to get into CMU/UVA. Low match is easier to get into than match.

Out of state acceptance for UNC ( 18%) and UVA ( about 23%) is always a reach.

@cappex oooh oops my bad. new to this. thanks!

BC is a match. UVA/UNC/CMU/ND are low reaches. NYU is a low to medium reach.

thank you! @tigerrocks13

Colgate and Holy Cross are 2 schools that might be of interest.

Yeah we are applying to a lot of the same schools. Which one are you applying to Early decision?

UNC is a high reach because you are out of state and have to walk on water. By law they can only have 18% of the student body from outside NC, and that includes athletes.
