Chances for UNC & Wake Forest In-State?

Hey everyone! I'll be a senior in this fall, and I hate to admit it, but I'm pretty behind on my college search. As of right now, I'm only really looking at UNC and Wake Forest, so if you guys could, I'd like to know how I measure up for these two schools. And if anyone has any suggestions, those would be appreciated as well!

I typed this up pretty quickly, but if you have any questions, just ask. Thanks for looking at this! I really appreciate it.

Pretty good GPA and class rank, I’d say you’re in if you get your SAT up.

Most likely in at UNc and definitely in at Wake Forest. I think you should apply to duke, you would be very competitive there (especially of your sat increases to 2100+) and it is considerably easier for north Carolina residents to get into duke than it is for it of state applicants.

Thanks you guys!
And this is a bit off topic, but @cortana431, you mentioned Duke, and it just reminded me of it. There’s a Senior at my school who got into Duke with a 1660 SAT, and that’s just so weird to me. He’s Hispanic, but I never thought being an URM would pull that much weight. His GPA is really good though (Valedictorian), but his ECs still lack. Anyway, I just found that peculiar. I’ve thought about Duke, but I don’t think I’d be a good fit even if I did somehow manage to get in. It’s a great school though, so I’ll definitely consider it if my SATs improve.

^its not just being Hispanic but being a north Carolina resident that makes it easier to get in.

How the hell does a Valedictorian get 1660 on his SAT?

No idea, but it’s very a poor representation of our school, especially since everyone else in the Top 10 scored at least 400 points higher. They say he studies a lot and cheats a ton, but I don’t know him personally so I can’t say for sure.
