Chances for University of Denver?

Hi,

I am a high school junior from Illinois. I plan to either go the PreMed route or major in engineering.

-30 Composite on my first real ACT (will most likely take once more).
34E
35M
25R
25S

-4.83/5 Unweighted GPA.

-50+ community service hours

-3 years of high school baseball

-1 year of high school football

-Mostly honors and AP courses

-Will have 5 AP classes by the time I graduate.

The College Board website shows that 85% EA/ED applicants were accepted. 70% of the incoming class had an ACT score of 29 or lower.

So your chances are likely. You’re probably good for some merit scholarship $ also. Write a real essay that shows YOU, not what you think they want to see, and you’ll be set.

I think that you have a good chance with merit aid at U of Denver. Make sure that you apply Early Action with their early deadline.

Do you know anything about DU and merit aid? Family is really relying on merit.
