Chances for UPenn, MIT, and Stanford

I am currently a rising senior in high school and am planning on majoring in finance. Also, I am an out of state student.

I am an Asian male
Unweighted GPA: 4.0
Weighted GPA: 4.44898
I am in the IB program at my school and have taken/will take 4 AP classes too.

Class Rank: 3 in a class of 623 students (I could have a higher class rank, but I chose to take an academy (4 year study focusing on one field) in engineering, in which I learned principles from various engineering fields and some statistics, so I was not able to have a bunch of random AP/IB classes to boost my GPA)

PSAT: 217 (good enough to qualify for national merit in my state)
SAT: 2150
ACT: 36
SAT II:
Math II: 800
Physics:780

ECs:
-I have volunteered and have held leadership positions at my local science center/museum for the past 3 years.
-I am the president of the physics club at my school.
-Vice president of Mu Alpha Theta.
-Took scholar's bowl (called quiz bowl in some places) in sophomore year and will take next year. I was fairly good at this activity.
-Debate team for 2 years. I am not amazing at this in terms of NFL points because I am too busy to go to many tournaments, but I always get good records at tournaments.
-I have presented at technology conferences about the pro/cons of bringing technology into classrooms. My school gives our students iPads, and I was one of 2 students chosen to represent my school at these conferences.
-Math team
-I helped start/play in a youth cricket league in my area. This league has branched out to include 3 teams, and we now play in competitions with other teams throughout the state.
- ~400 hours of community service from various places (mostly from the science center though)

Tell me if I forgot to include anything or if you need more info.

pretty good scores/stats/extracurriculars. but make sure you explain in your essays your passions/how those relate to your major.

btw are you indian?? how did you do north south.

also colleges only look at freshman and later activities really unless they’re really big

UPenn - low reach
MIT - low reach
Stanford - slightly higher reach (just b/c its stanford)

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1515027-chance-me-ill-chance-you-back.html

I am Indian. I don’t really understand your question about north south, but I did it by signing up (I guess?). Also, is low reach easier than high reach (I’m kinda new to this forum and don’t fully understand the terms yet)?

It goes in this order from most difficult to least difficult:

High Reach
Reach
Low Reach
High Match
Match
Low Match
Safety

UPenn: Lower reach
MIT: Reach
Stanford: Higher Reach

I don’t think you’ll get into Stanford but you sound like a good match for MIT.

For a school like MIT or Stanford , would anybody have match or high match? Also, since you said I might be a good match for MIT, is there anything I can do in the 6 months that could increase my chances of admission?

Your ACT score and GPA are great. If there is anything you can do within the next 6 months, it should be writing a good essay and perhaps score another 800 in SAT2.
